I am so glad you're here! I'm Jordan and I have been licensed since 2012. Although I started dabbling into hair when I was in 8th grade, shoutout to Mama Bear who allowed a 13 year old to cut her hair!

I was born and raised here in Charlotte, NC. You can find me at the Sun Valley Salon Suites in Indian Trail where all the magic happens!

I specialize in Lived-In Balayage and Vivids. I'm completely obsessed with all things color, so if you've been dying to try some FANTASY colors, I am definitely your girl! Choosing a hair color that makes you feel confident, no matter the age, is what I strive to accomplish with every guest.

On the weekends you'll likely see posts on my stories of the hubs & I trying new restaurants, hanging with friends, seeing our favorite bands, and shenanigans with our sweet pups!

I'm a big believer in self-care. When I need to recharge, my routine looks something like, date nights, Spa days, reading books that feed my soul, yoga, and all the snuggles with our Mini Aussies, Bowie, Mojo & Jagger.

Yall! This dry shampoo (if it can even call it that) is a game changer!

I've used a bazillion dry shampoos in my day and I'm always looking for the next best thing.

If you HATE dry shampoo its probably because you don't think it works, makes your scalp itchy, or it feels cakey right?

This doesn't do any of that. Most typical dry shampoos have a propellant (butane or propane) which when sprayed directly to the scalp can irritate the skin.

The @k18hair Airwash is non-aerosol. It also eliminates odors, so if youre a gym girly this would be perfect for you.

I feel like all I see are consultation videos or just the salon visit itself.

I tried filming a consultation one time with a client, and we both didn't know how to act 🤣

I'm sticking with a good ol fashioned before and after for now 😅

Vivids with a veil👌

I always keep some of miss Mays natural hair on top as a little veil. It makes it feel more low maintenance for her because you don't notice the roots so much when it grows out.

Plus, it protects the color even more from sun exposure, so it keeps the color lasting even longer.

You can see in her before (last photo) it had been a little over a year since her last color and the ends were pretty faded, but the roots were surprisingly still super vivid!

From faded purple to fierce red...what a transformation!

The moment we've all been waiting for!

I've been so pumped about my new room, and I've been loving everyone's reactions to the reveal this week!

I am super thankful to have such a handy husband and a wonderful family.

My sweet man helped bring my vision to life! I love my new suite so much. It's exactly what I wanted.

I love working in a salon suite, but it's a game of tetris trying to figure out where everything goes without feeling cluttered.

This cabinet is so perfect. It holds EVERYTHING! The best part is that I can close it away to hide my things.

That was the most important part of the update, I didn't want to see all of my junk, lol

7 things you NEED to know about your hot tools!

1. TEMPERATURE: if you have thin, fine hair your temperature shouldn't go over 300°. Average hair 300°-350°. Thick/coarse hair 350°-450°.

2. You should ALWAYS use heat protection!

3. Don't let the iron sit on your hair too long. Whenever I'm curling my hair, I keep touching the hair thats on the barrel..if its too hot for your finger, it's too hot for your hair..take it off!

4. After you're finished curling your hair, let your hair cool off and set before you comb through, it'll last longer.

5. If your flat iron or curling iron has scratches, dents or chips on the plates, its time to throw it away and upgrade! Itll have uneven distribution of heat and damage your hair.

6. If you have hairspray buildup on the plates, clean it off! Use a damp cloth and wipe your irons while its still hot, just be careful!

7. When you want big romantic waves, use thicker sections of hair. When you want tighter curls, use smaller sections of hair.

It's been super busy lately, but I needed to share all the footage from the most epic birthday weekend!

New Orleans was a blast and Eras round 2 was incredible. It's crazy how a 3hr concert can go by so fast.

We explored the city, went on a ghost tour, enjoyed the beignets, ate delicious foods, had the best time with friends, and sang until I was hoarse.

Amazon's hair extension game is unreal.

This is my 2nd set of GOO GOO Halo extensions off Amazon, and it's such a cost effective way to feel luxurious.

I usually buy them in a blonde shade and color match them to whatever vivids color I have at the time.

I've been doing so many fall colors lately, so I wanted to post a little gingy color inspo for your viewing pleasure!

There are so many different shades to choose from, violet based, copper based, and golden based.

This isn't a diss to anyone who has said this...

Maybe you take it out on your hair because it's the one thing you feel like you can have control over when life gets difficult.

Maybe you see old pictures of when you were really happy and think that hairstyle will make me happy again too.

Or maybe you have been scorned by hairstylists and you've lost all trust 😅

Either way, I don't see it as challenge for me anymore🩷🩷

Most of the time for Vivids, I do an all over bleach on the roots because it gives it a poppy/bolder look!

For my client, I did traditional foils so that her natural hair would blend in more as it grew out.

This allows my client to be lower maintenance while still being able to rock her fun colors!

My client had a professional color matching done to see which season she was. Based on her pallette, she is a true Summer with muted tones.

I love doing a big color correction once in a while because it really pushes me and helps to sharpen my skills!

That's not to say, it doesn't also cause a little panic in the beginning because you truly never really know how its gonna go! 🤣

I always talk my clients through the process and let them know what to expect, the cost, plan for the unexpected, etc.

Color corrections don't have to be scary, as long as you're 100% transparent with your clients, so there are no surprises.

On the contrary, it's actually not as much upkeep as you think!

I'm incredibly low maintenance when it comes to my hair, so if I can do it, you can do it.

I always upkeep my vivids shade with my favorite pigmented shampoo line by @celebluxury

I also custom mix color bombs for my clients if we can't quite find the right shade for them.

💚 Extend your washes with dry shampoo
🧡 Use low heat on hot tools
